Clara and Ramón Raventós-Basagoiti always
shared a vision:
to elevate and celebrate sparkling wines, the soul of our viticultural culture. With this clear determination, this journey was undertaken in a unique enclave, conceived as a meeting point for everyone.
The winery merges contemporary architecture with the aesthetics of a traditional Catalan farmhouse. In this corner, there is a refuge from the frenetic pace of the world, emphasizing the importance of appreciating the beauty of nature with humility and respect.
Over the years, challenges have been overcome, knowledge accumulated, inspiration found and setbacks faced. Each experience has paved the way to this sanctuary, where radiant and genuine wines emerge from lands overflowing with life. By establishing innovative guidelines, the aim is not only to revitalize our own vineyards but also those nearby, through collaborations that enrich and strengthen the environment. The ecological commitment began in 2010 and since 2016, biodynamic practices have been adopted. Today, we celebrate the rewards of our hard work.
In Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, our modern Masía combines traditional Catalan farmhouse elements with contemporary design. A “Masía” is a classic rural home in Catalonia, Spain, known for its rustic stone build and central courtyard. It’s a symbol of Catalonia’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. Meticulously designed to achieve a production of 80,000
to 90,000 bottles in 8 years, this 1,500m2 structure harmoniously integrates into the landscape, valuing the pre-existing vineyards. Distributed across three levels: the basement serves as the dedicated space for fermentation, often referred to as the “fermentation sanctuary”; the mezzanine offers the tasting room, kitchen and laboratories; and the ground floor is dedicated to the social space.
Its bioclimatic design is characterized by a central courtyard essential for the thermal regulation of the building, taking advantage of natural ventilation. Modern passive methods, like sun tracking, enhanced facade insulation, and sun shielding, are used. We achieve complete energy self- sufficiency with forty solar panels and aerothermal systems

MANIFIESTO
Raventós-Basagoiti wines are sparkling wines crafted MANIFIESTO traditionally from select parts of our estate. Their essence is their freshness. We focus on the wine’s natural intensity and unique texture, avoiding any unwanted alterations.
2021 posed challenges due to tough weather conditions, pushing our estate to its limits. This year stands out for the determination of our region’s winemakers.
Early-year frosts affected many vines, and heatwaves hit during key ripening times. Combined with unpredictable rains, careful vineyard management was crucial for grape health and harvest quality. Consequently, the 2021 wines are distinctive, full of character, and unexpectedly fresh given the conditions.

ENVIRONMENT
The landscape uniting the plots of these three varieties is key to defining the wine’s personality. The estate, planted mostly in bush vines between the 1950s and late 1980s, is managed according to ecological and biodynamic principles to preserve fruit vibrancy and faithfully express this terroir.
TASTING NOTES
Fresh, fine fruit with the rustic edge that characterises Inicial. Low alcohol coexists with depth, complexity and freshness. The addition of less than 2 g/L of sugar in the dosage is virtually imperceptible — a level that, in other regions, would be classified as Brut Nature, though we choose not to use this terminology.
SYMBOLISM
The orange-toned label recalls the characteristic colour of our soils. Its central symbol is inspired by the 11th-century Romanesque monastery of Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, located next to the estate and a historic source of viticultural inspiration in the area.
We set allocations twice a year. These are distributed among all the clients and friends we are fortunate to serve. Due to the meticulousness and high standards with which we approach each process, our wine production is limited. Therefore, each allocation request is carefully evaluated, ensuring that each bottle reaches those who truly appreciate its essence and origin.
Even though the demand is high, our commitment is to review each request with the attention it deserves and communicate availability and delivery times as quickly
as possible. Our goal is for each friend and customer to connect with the story behind every bottle, year after year.
We respond to all allocation requests within a few days. Thank you for your patience. Tell us a bit about yourself to help us get to know you better.
